Charge battery - AR54.10-P-1130NKB

DANGER Risk of injury  due to fan starting unexpectedly Do not reach into the rotation or hazard area of the fan. Wear closed and close-fitting work clothes. AS20.40-Z-0001-01A
DANGER Risk of explosion  from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

INSPECT Check     
1 Check condition of on-board electrical system battery Not with active transport mode.

  Charging     
2.1 Connect charger to the on-board electrical system battery With on-board electrical system battery removed.
NOTES Do not reverse polarity.
Otherwise short circuits will cause damage.
 
2.2 Open front prefuse box by moving cover (1) and connect charger positive terminal (2) to charging terminal point of front prefuse box and charger ground terminal (3) to battery ground point (W10) With on-board electrical system battery installed.
NOTES Make sure that the vent hose and the stop plug of the on-board electrical system battery are installed correctly.
Otherwise escaping battery vapors may cause damage.
NOTES Do not reverse polarity.
Otherwise short circuits will cause damage.
 
3 Charge on-board electrical system battery    
REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 00 81 00 Charger   WS54.00-P-0037B 
IMPORTANT The battery charging period is dependent on the charge level of the discharged battery. The battery must be charged using an approved charger (see WS54.00-P-0037B ).
The battery is sufficiently charged when the charging current reading is < 25 A. 
 
4 Disconnect charger from on-board electrical system battery NOTES It is essential to switch off the charger first. Otherwise it could lead to formation of sparks.  
INSPECT Check     
5 Check condition of on-board electrical system battery Not with active transport mode.
