REMOVING Remove     
1 Move driver seat and front passenger seat to the rear.    
2 Disconnect battery ground line    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR54.10-P-0003NKB 
3 Remove left front and rear door sill    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-P-4100NKB
4 Loosen left front edge guard in the area of the A-pillar cover and in the area of the door sill    
5 Remove cover below left and right instrument panel    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-P-4010NKB
6 Fold back floor covering at right in footwell    
7 Unfasten vehicle interior fuse box and turn around with wiring harnesses connected    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR54.21-P-1255-10NKB
8 Release COMAND controller unit or radio and carefully put down on center console with wiring harnesses connected    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR82.60-P-7502NKB
    IMPORTANT Use clean cloth as base.  
9 Remove paneling on left in trunk    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-P-4800NKB
10 Remove paneling from liftgate    
11 Remove handle strip for liftgate IMPORTANT The trunk lid handle strip is no longer required.  
12 Remove rear grab handle from roof    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-P-4330NKB
13 Lower headliner at rear NOTES Lower headliner slightly only, do not exert too much pressure.
Otherwise, the headliner may kink and then be damaged in the area of the B-pillar.		  
14 Remove electronic ignition control unit MODEL 242.848/890

17 Install new handle strip for liftgate IMPORTANT The reversing camera (B84/3) is integrated in the new handle strip for the liftgate.  
18 Retrofit the backup camera wiring harness NOTES When routing reversing camera wiring harness, lower headliner slightly only, do not exert too much pressure.
Otherwise, the headliner may kink and then be damaged in the area of the B-pillar.		 AN54.65-P-0030-03NKF
19 Install remaining parts    
  Update Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc)     
20 Enter special equipment into the on-line vehicle data card IMPORTANT Code 218 (Backup camera)
