	Remove
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury  caused by pinching or crushing when working on springs or spring bodies that are under tension	Use only approved tensioning devices; additionally screen off hazardous area if necessary. 1	Remove front or rear suspension strut (15)	Remove/install the suspension strut	AR32.25-P-1017RK
		Remove/install rear suspension strut	AR32.25-P-1016RK
	Disassemble/assemble
2	Clamp tensioning device (13) in vise and insert clamping plates (14)	Tensioning device	Fig 5

3	Insert suspension strut (15) into tensioning device (13)	Insert the suspension strut (15) so that as many coils of the spring (6) as possible are clamped.
4	Clamp spring (6) until spring cup (5) is relieved of load
5	Unscrew mounting nut (1) and remove support bushing (2)	Counterhold piston rod (9). Do not use an impact wrench. Nut to piston rod Suspension strut mounting machines	*BA32.25-P-1005-04N
6	Remove spacer washer (3) from piston rod (9)
7	Remove shock absorber (7) from spring (6)
8	Remove boot (11) and stop buffer (12)
9	Release tensioning device (13) and remove spring (6)
	Check
10	Check shock absorber (7)	Check shock absorber (7) for leaks. A thin film of oil on the shock absorber (7) is acceptable. ↓ Replace shock absorber if necessary. Observe the installation position of the support ring (8).	AR32.25-P-0121CW
11	Check boot (11), stop buffer (12), spring shim (4) and rubber support (10) for wear	Replace any components with oil contamination, cracks or deformation.
12	Assemble in the reverse order	Align the shock absorber (7) as shown.

13	Install front or rear suspension strut (15)	Remove/install the suspension strut	AR32.25-P-1017RK
		Remove/install rear suspension strut	AR32.25-P-1016RK
14	Inspect headlamp adjustment, correct if necessary	After installing new parts	AP82.10-P-8260R
15	Calibration of stroke of suspension struts	Whenever a suspension strut is replaced, calibration using Star Diagnosis must be performed in the menu "Control units - Adaptation/Tech-in processes".	AR40.20-P-0301RK
