	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

1	Secure vehicle on vehicle lift		AR00.60-P-0100TX
2	Remove rear wheel
			AP40.10-P-4050EW
3	Remove twelve-point collar nut (12) from rear axle shaft (37)	Replace and lock the twelve- point collar nut (12).	AR35.30-P-0115-01TX
		Collar nut, rear axle shaft to rear axle shaft flange	*BA35.30-P-1001-01J
4	Remove wheel carrier (7)	The wheel carrier (7) cannot be folded down far enough to enable the rear axle shaft (37) to be extended.	AR35.20-P-0115RK
5	Pry rear axle shaft (37) out of rear axle differential (50) and remove rear axle shaft (37)	Do not fasten assembly lever to the protective ring (37a). Support assembly lever e.g. with socket wrench on differential (50). Replace locking ring (37o) on inner spline profile.
	Check
6	Check constant velocity joints and rubber boots	If the constant velocity joint is defective, the rear axle shaft (37) must be completely replaced. If a rubber boot is damaged or leaky, see: ↓ Replace rubber boot	AR35.30-P-0661P
7	Check radial sealing ring on side of rear axle differential (50)	If damaged or leaky, see: ↓ Replace radial sealing ring on side of differential (50).	AR35.31-P-0545RKC
8	Install in the reverse order
9	Check oil level in rear axle differential (50) and correct if necessary		AR35.31-P-0520-03RKC
