	Remove/install
	Risk of injury  caused by backrest suddenly folding forward if release lever is accidentally operated during inspection and repair work	When working on the seat, be careful not to accidentally release the backrest mechanism, allowing the seat to fold forward. Keep body parts clear of the backrest travel area.	AS91.00-Z-0005-01V
	Risk of injury  caused by performing testing or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units.	Store airbag units with deployment side facing up; do not expose to temperatures greater than 100 °C. When working on these units, disconnect the power supply.	AS91.00-Z-0001-01A

1	Open Vario roof fully
2	Move front seat (1) upwards and forward
3	Move backrest to front
4	Remove screw (14)
5	Unclip backrest hinge cover (2) and remove
6	Remove belt end fitting (3) at front seat (1)	Detach/attach belt end fitting	AR91.40-P-1030-02A
7	Remove seat belt from belt guide (4)
8	Remove screws (5) at the back of the seat rails	Screw/bolt, seat to vehicle floor	*BA91.10-P-1002-01Q
9	Position front seat (1) to rear
10	Move backrest into upright position
11	Remove screws/bolts (6) at the front of the seat rails	Screw/bolt, seat to vehicle floor	*BA91.10-P-1002-01Q
12	Disconnect battery ground line		AR54.10-P-0003RK
13	Expose electrical wiring harness.
14	Disconnect connector of pneumatic line (13) and seal	With code 409 (Left/right front multicontour seats) or code 432 (Active multicontour seat).

15	Disconnect electrical connectors (7)	The number of electrical connectors (7) can vary depending on the equipment.
16	Remove cable duct (8).	To do so, release catch tab (9) using suitable tool and remove cable duct (8) in direction of arrow.
17	Remove front seat (1) from vehicle	Carefully lift front seat (1) out of vehicle. Otherwise components in the interior will be damaged. Helper required. Ensure that locking bolts (10) of seat rails (11) are seated correctly in vehicle floor.
18	Unclip covers (12) at seat rails (11) and remove
19	Put down front seat (1) and secure it against tipping over
20	Install in the reverse order
