| Remove | |||
| 1 | Disconnect battery ground line | AR54.10-P-0003RK | |
| 2 | Remove front prefuse box (F32) and place to one side with electrical lines attached | AR54.15-P-1330RK | |
| 3 | Unscrew nut (5) and detach positive battery cable (6) from through-plating on firewall (F52/1) | To do so, pull cover (4) to one side. | |
| 4 | Remove cover (10) | ||
| 5 | Release plug connector catch (12) and detach electrical connection (13) from pyrotechnical separator (K88) | ||
| 6 | Expose wiring harness of electrical connection (13) | ||
| 7 | Cut off damaged wiring harness | ||
| Replace wiring harness | |||
| 8 | Determine length of damaged wiring harness and cut repair wiring harness (15) to suit | ||
| 9 | Connect new electrical connection (13) of repair wiring harness (15) using solder connector (16) to old wiring harness | AR00.19-P-0100A | |
| 10 | Wrap fabric tape (17) around repair area on wiring harness | ||
| Install | |||
| 11 | Route wiring harness to pyrotechnical separator (K88) and fix in place | Ensure that wiring harness is routed properly. Otherwise the wiring harness will be damaged by chafing or crushing. |

| 12 | Connect electrical connection (13) to pyrotechnical separator (K88) | ||
| 13 | Install cover (10) | ||
| 14 | Connect positive battery cable (6) to through-plating on firewall (F52/1) | ||
