| 2 | Detach retainer (2) on gas-filled strut (1) in area of pop-up roof and remove gas-filled strut (1) from pop-up roof | Do not remove retainer (2). Otherwise the tension of the retainer (2) can be lost. Lay down gas-filled strut (1) after removal. Otherwise the gas-filled strut (1) or parts of the vehicle can be damaged. |

| 3 | Loosen retainer (2) from gas-filled strut (1) in area of vehicle roof and remove gas-filled strut (1) from vehicle roof | Do not remove retainer (2). Otherwise the tension of the retainer (2) can be lost. |

| 5 | Install suitable lashing strap on gas-filled strut (1) as shown and secure with cable tie | ||
| 6 | Press gas-filled strut (1) approx. 5 cm together with lashing strap (3) | ||
| 7 | Install gas-filled strut (1) on vehicle roof | ||
| 8 | Install gas-filled strut (1) on pop-up roof | ||
| 9 | Remove cable tie and remove lashing strap (3) | ||
| 10 | Install retainers (2) on gas-filled strut (1) | ||
| 11 | Remove roof support from pop-up roof | AR77.00-S-1000E | |
