- Cut back adhesive bead (1) present on body flange to a residual height of approx. 1 to 2 mm and remove residual pieces of adhesive bead (1) that have not been fully cut off.
The present adhesive bead (1) should not be higher than max. 2 mm.
- Fully remove adhesive bead (1) present on contact surfaces of spacers (2).
- Remove cutting residues at body flange.
- Clean bonding surfaces.
- Repair paintwork damage and/or damage to priming on body flange.
Ensure that adhesive material is applied only to present adhesive beads, which have been cut down, or to the original factory primer or repair primer approved by Daimler.
