Adjust Panoramic Sliding Sunroof - AR77.21-S-6924E

INSPECT Check     
1 Fully close panoramic sliding sunroof (1).    
2 Check gap dimensions at panoramic sliding sunroof (1) all-round. IMPORTANT The gap dimensions must be approximately uniform at the front and rear sealing joint. The panoramic sliding roof (1) must be centered laterally to the direction of travel.
SPECIAL TOOL Feeler gauge

3 Check front height offset (a) from front roof paneling (4) to panoramic sliding sunroof (1). IMPORTANT The front edge of the panoramic sliding roof (1) must be flush or max. 1 mm deeper as the edge of the front roof paneling (4). The dimension of the front height offset (a) should be equal over the entire width of the panoramic sliding roof (1).  
4 Check rear height offset (b) from panoramic sliding sunroof (1) to fixed glass section (5). IMPORTANT The rear edge of the panoramic sliding door (1) must be flush or max. 1 mm higher than the edge of the fixed glass element (5). The dimension of the rear height offset (a) should be equal over the entire width of the panoramic sliding roof (1).  
  Adjust     
5 Remove left and right side cover panel for panoramic sliding sunroof (1).   AR77.21-S-0116E 
6 Release all screws (3) at left and right side of panoramic sliding sunroof (1). IMPORTANT Panoramic sliding sunroof (1) must be approx. 5 cm open.  
7 Fully close panoramic sliding sunroof (1).    
8 Adjust all-round gap dimensions, front height offset (a) and rear height offset (b) of panoramic sliding sunroof (1). IMPORTANT The gap dimensions must be approximately uniform at the front and rear sealing joint. The panoramic sliding roof (1) must be centered laterally to the direction of travel.
The front edge of the panoramic sliding roof (1) must be flush or max. 1 mm deeper as the edge of the front roof paneling (4). The dimension of the front height offset (a) should be equal over the entire width of the panoramic sliding roof (1).
The rear edge of the panoramic sliding door (1) must be flush or max 1 mm higher than the edge of the fixed glass element (5). The dimension of the rear height offset (a) should be equal over the entire width of the panoramic sliding roof (1).
SPECIAL TOOL Feeler gauge

9 Tighten center and rear screw (3) at left side of panoramic sliding sunroof (1).    
10 Tighten center and rear screw (3) at right side of panoramic sliding sunroof (1).    
11 Open panoramic sliding sunroof (1) approx. 5 cm.    
12 Switch off ignition.    
13 Tighten respective foremost screw (3) at left and right side of panoramic sliding sunroof (1).    
14 Install left and right side cover panel for panoramic sliding sunroof (1).   AR77.21-S-0116E 
15 Normalize panoramic sliding sunroof (1) using vehicle diagnosis system and perform teach-in run for automatic reversing function.
