REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Perform manual power disconnect for high-voltage on-board electrical system   AR54.10-P-1039GQA 
2 Disconnect battery ground line   AR54.10-P-0003GZ 
3 Remove load compartment floor   AR68.80-P-5800GQA
MEASURING Measure     
4 Plug test adapter into high-voltage on-board electrical system connection (1)   AR08.00-P-0101-01LFH
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, high-voltage connector to high-voltage battery *BA54.10-P-1008-02G 
SPECIAL TOOL Test adapter Figure
5 Measure insulation resistance at test adapter   AR54.10-P-1160-01GQA 
SPECIAL TOOL Test adapter
If the measured value is < 1 MΩ

Replace high-voltage battery (9)

Replace high-voltage battery (9)

13 Measure insulation resistance at DC/DC converter HV connector (5) If the measured value is > 1 MΩ

Continue with operation step 16
If the measured value is < 1 MΩ

Disconnect HV connector from DC/DC converter (7) and continue with operation step 14

14 Plug test adapter into HV connection on DC/DC converter (7) SPECIAL TOOL Test adapter Fig 2
15 Measure insulation resistance at test adapter   AR54.10-P-1160-01GQA

If the measured value is > 1 MΩ

Replace high-voltage line from high-voltage battery (9) to DC/DC converter (7)
If the measured value is < 1 MΩ

Replace DC/DC converter (7)

16 Measure insulation resistance at high-voltage battery charger HV connector (6) If the measured value is > 1 MΩ

Continue with operation step 19
If the measured value is < 1 MΩ

Disconnect HV connector (10) from high-voltage battery charger (8) and continue with operation step 17
IMPORTANT The HV connector of the high-voltage line to the vehicle socket does not need to be disconnected.

Replace high-voltage line from high-voltage battery (9) to high-voltage battery charger (8)
If the measured value is < 1 MΩ

Replace high-voltage battery charger (8)

21 Remove heat shield from high-voltage distributor (14)    
22 Disconnect high-voltage on-board electrical system HV connector (11) from high-voltage distributor (14)   AR08.00-P-0101-01LFH
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, high-voltage connector to high-voltage distributor *BA54.10-P-1001-03E 
23 Plug test adapter into high-voltage on-board electrical system connection (12) on high-voltage distributor (14)   AR08.00-P-0101-01LFH
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, high-voltage connector to high-voltage distributor *BA54.10-P-1001-03E

If the measured value is > 1 MΩ

Replace high-voltage line from high-voltage battery (9) to high-voltage distributor (14)
If the measured value is < 1 MΩ

Disconnect electric refrigerant compressor HV connector (16) from high-voltage distributor (14) and continue with operation step 25

Disconnect high-voltage distributor (14) from power electronics (15) and continue with operation step 30

Replace electrical machine

Replace high-voltage distributor (14)
