	Remove/install
1	Remove cover from steering column on instrument panel (1)		AR68.10-P-1060GW
2	Remove cover below left of instrument panel		AR68.10-P-1500GW
3	Remove cover below right dashboard		AR68.10-P-1520GW
4	Unclip side covers from instrument panel (1)	See removing side left air vent.	AR68.10-P-1100GWL
		See removing side right air vent.	AR68.10-P-1100GWR
5	Remove cover from instrument panel (1) in center		AR68.10-P-3430GW
6	Remove COMAND display		AR82.85-P-7429GW
7	Remove speaker in center of instrument panel (1)		AR82.85-P-7429GW
8	Mark position of plug connectors in corresponding cutouts of dashboard center section	Note marking.
9	Remove glove box		AR68.10-P-1400GW
10	Remove instrument cluster		AR54.30-P-6015GW
11	Remove bolts (5)	The bracket (4) can only be removed after removing instrument panel (1). Do not remove bracket (4).

12	Disconnect electrical connector from passenger airbag squib 1 (R12/4)
13	Unscrew bolts (2) from instrument panel (1)		*BA68.10-P-1001-01D
14	Unscrew bolts (7) from air ducts (6)	Slightly pull instrument panel (1) to vehicle interior.
15	Disconnect air ducts from side air vents	Ensure that air ducts are seated correctly.
16	Detach electrical wiring harness (8) from instrument panel (1)
17	Disconnect electrical connector from right instrument panel tweeter (H4/34)
18	Disconnect electrical connector from left instrument panel tweeter (H4/33)
19	Disconnect electrical connector from exterior light switch (S1)
20	Disconnect electrical connector at electronic ignition lock control unit (N73)
21	Remove instrument panel (1) upward in direction of vehicle interior at an angle	Aid of helper required.
22	Screw in all adjusters (3) on mounting points of instrument panel (1) to stop	The adjusters (3) have a left-hand thread. This ensure tolerance compensation automatically when screwing in.
23	Install in the reverse order
24	Read out and erase the fault memory using Star Diagnosis		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
25	Perform function test on all devices removed and installed
