1.1	Remove cover from parking brake lever (5)	MODEL 463.202/222/236/237/243/244/245/246/247/248/249/250/254/303/309/322/323/332/333/340/341 up to model year 2013

		Remove/install center console	AR68.20-P-2000A
1.4	Remove the trim from the left side of the console	MODEL 461.302/305/332/333/334/340/342/343/344/345/346
2	Unscrew the adjustment nuts (38)
3.1	Remove brake shoes at rear axle	Vehicles with drum brakes
		Remove/install brake shoes at rear axle. Vehicles with drum brakes	AR42.10-P-0165GG
3.2	Remove parking brake shoes	Vehicles with disk brakes
		Remove/install brake shoes of parking brake MODEL 461 (except 461.392)	AR42.20-P-0530B
		With disk brakes at the rear axle MODEL 463 (except 463.270/271) up to model year 2013 With disk brakes at the rear axle
4	Detach parking brake cable (2) from carrier plate (1)	MODEL 460, 461 (except 461.392) MODEL 463 (except 463.270/271) up to model year 2013	*BA42.20-P-1002-01B
5	Remove clamps (a) from trailing arms
6	Remove clamps (11) of parking brake cables (2) from vehicle floor	Apply preservation to threaded pin.
		Wax for vehicle underside (1 l container)	*BR00.45-Z-1002-05A
7	Pull parking brake cable (2) out of rubber grommet (3) on vehicle floor	Apply soapy water.
8	Pull parking brake cables (2) out of brackets (4)	Check parking brake cable (2) before reinstalling for damage and ease of movement, replace if necessary. Note different lengths of parking brake cables (2).
9	Install in the reverse order
	Check
10	Check parking brake adjustment, adjust parking brake if necessary	Vehicles with disk brakes at the rear axle	AR42.20-P-0540GI
		Vehicles with drum brakes at the rear axle	AR42.20-P-0540GG
