Shift rod locking plate at intermediate lever, modified

BT27.60-P-0021-01A

	Remove/install
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1	Move selector lever to position "D".
2.1	Remove both lower engine compartment paneling	Model 204.9	AR61.20-P-1105CY
2.2	Remove engine compartment paneling	Model 204 except model 204.9, 207 with gasoline engine	AR61.20-P-1105EW
2.3	Remove lower bottom sections of soundproofing	Model 204 except model 204.9, 207 with diesel engine	AR94.30-P-5300EW
3	Unclip locking plate (1)	Replace locking plate (1) in order to prevent the shift rod (3) loosening automatically. Check bushing (2) for damage, replace if necessary.
4	Detach shift rod (3) at range selector lever (4)
5.1	Unclip locking plate (5)	Vehicles with locking plate (5), old version. Replace locking plate (5) in order to prevent the shift rod (3) loosening automatically. Check bushing (2) for damage, replace if necessary.
5.2	Loosen bolt (8) on head (7).	Vehicles with locking plate (5), new version. Removal: Never unclip the locking plate (5) at intermediate lever (6). The locking plate will be irreparably damaged if it is pried out. The shift mechanism must be replaced

6.1	Detach shift rod (3) at intermediate lever (6)	Vehicles with locking plate (5), old version.
6.2	Move shift rod (3) out of head (7)	Vehicles with locking plate (5), new version.
7	Take out shift rod (3)
8	Install in the reverse order
9	Check shift mechanism for proper operation, adjust shift rod (3) in necessary		AR27.60-P-0980CW
