	Remove/install
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
		When working on the front-end assembly, be careful not to scratch, mark or notch the surfaces of aluminum parts. Otherwise the service life of the of the parts will be reduced.
1	Remove left or right front wheel	Model 172	AP40.10-P-4050V
1	Remove left or right front wheel	Model 204, 207	AP40.10-P-4050CW
2	Remove front wheel hub (1)		AR33.20-P-0310CW
3	Remove brake cover plate (2)		*BA42.10-P-1005-10J
4	Remove suspension strut (3) from steering knuckle (4)		AR32.25-P-1017CW
5	Detach left front-axle RPM sensor (L6/1) or right left front-axle RPM sensor (L6/2) from steering knuckle (4)	Model 172, 204	AR42.30-P-0712CW

8	Remove cross strut (7) from steering knuckle (4)		AR33.15-P-0161CW
9	Remove steering knuckle (4)
	Checking
10	Check rubber boot and supporting ball joint of cross strut (7) for damage	If necessary: ↓
10		Replace cross strut (7).	AR33.15-P-0161CW
11	Check rubber boot and ball joint of torque strut (6) for signs of damage	If necessary:
11		Radius rod (6) as indicated.	AR33.15-P-0160CW
12	Install in the reverse order	Tighten nuts and bolts of chassis components only when vehicle is in the ready-to-drive condition.
