Emergency brake mode, function - GF42.22-P-1003FLH

Function requirements for emergency braking mode, general 

Emergency braking mode, general 

The emergency braking mode describes the hydraulic fallback level. In the event of a fault, the brake pressure simulator is deactivated and the simulated pedal resistance is discontinued. The driver then exceeds the free travel (3) and generates the required braking pressure with the power of his foot as in a conventional brake system. This in turn results in a somewhat longer pedal travel than under normal operation. The driver's pedal force is supported by the BAS brake booster as with a conventional brake system. The distribution of the brake pressure to the front and rear axles is realized by a brake pressure distribution in the hydraulic unit traction system.
