Rear fog light actuation, general
The rear fog light actuation is used for the clear marking of the rear area of the vehicle in the event of poor weather conditions.
Function sequence for rear fog light actuation
By pressing the rear fog light switch (S1s10), the rear fog light actuation is requested.
The front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) reads in the status of the rear fog light button directly and sends the switch-on request via interior CAN (CAN B) to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2), which then actuates the rear fog lamp (E3/6).
Actuation of the rear fog light indicator lamp (A1e18) in the instrument cluster (A1) signals the active rear fog light actuation. For this purpose, the front SAM control unit transmits the "Rear fog light indicator lamp On" request via the interior CAN to the instrument cluster.
