	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

	Remove/install
1	Detach rear complete wheel		AR40.10-P-1101A
2	Remove cover from spring control arm (6)
3	Detach fender liner in rear fender in area of shock absorber		AR88.10-P-1400LW
4	Disconnect electrical connectors (9) and place line to one side	Model 205 with code 489 (AIRMATIC) Model 253 with code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL)
5	Unscrew nut (5) and pull bolt out of spring control arm (6)	Self-locking nut, shock absorber to spring control arm	*BA32.25-P-1001-03P
6	Remove bolts (7)	Screw/bolt, shock absorber to body	*BA32.25-P-1002-03P
7	Compress shock absorber (4) and remove upward	Ensure that the cutouts (arrows a) in suspension strut mount (12) match with the elevations (arrows b) in the body.
	Check
8	Check shock absorber (4), suspension strut mount (12) and seal (13) for damage and leakage	The shock absorber (4) is only available with suspension strut mount (12). If there are problems: ↓ Replace shock absorber (4).
9	Install in the reverse order
