	Notes on AIRmatic		AH32.22-P-1000-02LW
	Remove/install
1	Remove front part of lower engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105LW
2	Remove expansion rivet (1) and detach fender liner from shock absorber
3	Release and disconnect electrical connection (2) from AIRmatic valve unit (Y36/6)
4	Unscrew pressure lines (3) from AIRmatic valve unit (Y36/6) and seal pressure line (3) using stop plugs	Mark pressure lines (3) relative to AIRmatic valve unit (Y36/6). Do not swap pressure lines (3).
		Pressure line to compressor/valve unit (P)	*BA32.22-P-1004-03G
		Record plug If pressure line connection or pressure line (3) is damaged: ↓ Repair AIRmatic pressure line connection.	Figure

5	Remove bolts (4) and remove AIRmatic valve unit (Y36/6)	Bolt, valve unit to bracket for compressor unit	*BA32.22-P-1003-03G
	Check
6	Check elastomer bearing (5) for hardening and damage	Replace elastomer bearing (5) if hardened or damaged.
7	Install in the reverse order
8	Read out fault memory and erase if necessary

9	Check AIRmatic for leaks		AR32.22-P-8100LW
	Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
10	Perform engine test run and check AIRmatic for proper operation
