	Remove/install
1	Detach brake caliper and secure free of tension to vehicle with lines still connected		AR42.10-P-0080LW
		Do not subject the brake hose and electrical line to tension and do not kink them. The brake hose and the electrical line can otherwise be damaged.
2	Remove brake linings (1) from brake caliper support (2)	Only brake pads (1) approved by Mercedes-Benz may be installed, and only in sets and on an axle-by-axle basis. Do not apply any brake paste or lubricants to brake pads (1) and brake calipers.
	Check
3	Check brake linings (1) for wear and that they are in good condition
		Model 205	AP42.10-P-4252CAA
		Model 253 In case of damage or excessive wear: ↓ Replace brake linings (1). Replace the brake linings (1) as a complete set only.	AP42.10-P-4252D
	Clean
4	Clean the contact surfaces of the brake pads (1) on the brake caliper support (2) (arrows) and on the brake caliper	Do not use sharp-edged or pointed objects. Otherwise, the brake caliper, the dust boot on the brake piston or the brake caliper support (2) may be damaged.
		Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
5	Pull right rear brake wear sensor out of pad backing plate of brake lining (1)	When replacing the brake linings (1) or replacing the right rear brake wear sensor.
6	Install in the reverse order
