Remove/install limit switch for open soft top - AR77.39-P-3702LWR

DANGER Risk of injury.  Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area of mechanical components when moving components. AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  when performing check and repair work in area of roll bar Keep body parts out of the area where the roll bar extends.
Do not use the cover in the area of the roll bar as a shelf for objects.

REMOVING Remove     
1 Move soft top to repair position R2   AR77.30-P-1030LWR 
2 Cover rear left fender    
3 Knock off rivet (1) and remove rivet residues    
4 Cut wiring harness (2) at suitable point NOTES
Cut wiring harness (2) so that the repair point is not stressed mechanically when opening and closing the soft top.
Otherwise the repair point can be damaged.
 
5 Remove soft top open limit switch (S84/3)    
INSTALLING Install     
6 Short electrical lines of new soft top open limit switch (S84/3) to corresponding length If necessary.  
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling fumes during soldering. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. Ensure that the work area is adequately ventilated. Secure power supply cables. Avoid sources of fire in working area. AS00.19-Z-0002-01A
7 Solder electrical lines of new soft top open limit switch (S84/3) to wiring harness (2) and insulate

    SPECIAL TOOL Reflector Figure
    SPECIAL TOOL Adapter Figure
8 Protect repair point with fabric tape after repairing line   AR00.19-P-0100-08A
9 Rivet soft top open limit switch (S84/3) IMPORTANT Pay attention to installation position.  
10 Remove retainers for repair position on soft top mechanism    
11 Remove cover from rear left fender    
12 Completely close soft top
