Drain/Fill Low-Temperature Circuit Coolant - AR09.41-P-6834LW

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray.
Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant.
Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

  Drain off     
1 Remove upper engine cover    
2 Remove cap on low-temperature circuit coolant expansion reservoir    
3 Remove front and central sections of the lower engine compartment paneling Model 218 with engine 274.9 AR61.20-P-1105EW
    Model 205 with engine 274.9, 276.8, 651
Model 253 with engine 274.9, 276.8, 642, 651

4 Detach coolant hose (1) on the low-temperature circuit cooler (2), drain off coolant and catch in a suitable container   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
5 Switch on ignition for about 5 s and switch off again and repeat the procedure after a waiting time of about 30 s twice, in order to empty the coolant circuit.    
  Pour in     
6 Mount coolant hose (1) on low-temperature circuit cooler (2)   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
7 Add clean coolant and bleed low-temperature circuit engine cooling system   AR20.00-P-1142-04A

8 Check low-temperature circuit for leaktightness   AR09.41-P-1010LW 
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
9 Perform an engine test run and check cooling system for proper operation    
10 Install front and center sections of lower engine compartment paneling Model 218 with engine 274.9 AR61.20-P-1105EW

11 Install upper engine cover
