Remove/install charger feed socket - AR54.10-P-5109NKE

DANGER Risk of death  when touching components on vehicles with high-voltage on-board electrical system Do not touch components and open lines of the high-voltage on-board electrical system. Persons who wear electronic implants (e.g. cardiac pacemakers), must not  carry out any work on high-voltage on-board electrical systems. AS54.00-Z-0001-01A

IMPORTANT Evaluation of high-voltage components   AH54.00-P-6500-01SXH
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Perform disable for the high-voltage on-board electrical system   AR54.10-P-1150NKE 
2 Remove underfloor paneling   AR61.30-P-1001NKB
3 Detach left rear wheel-and-tire assembly    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE     AP40.10-P-4050AK
4 Remove fender liner from left rear fender   AR88.10-P-1400NKB
5 Remove bolt (1) and place electrical line (2) to one side    
6 Remove bolt (3) and place bracket (4) to one side    
7 Disconnect electrical connection (5)    
8 Release and detach electrical connection for charging cable (6) NOTES
When releasing electrical connection for charging cable (6), note 3-stage release. If this is not noted, the charging cable electrical connection (6) will be damaged.
 
9 Unfasten nuts (7) and place charging cable (8) with bracket to one side    
10 Expose charging cable (8) IMPORTANT Expose charging cable (8) along cable routing or unclip it.  
11 Disconnect Electrical connection (13) Without CODE 494 (USA version)  
12 Remove bracket (9) from rear fender IMPORTANT To do so, remove nuts (10).  
13 Remove nuts (14) Without CODE 494 (USA version)  
14.1 Open tank cap and remove bolts (11) With CODE 494 (USA version)
INSTALLATION IMPORTANTSPECIAL TOOL Attach high voltage warning label to closed tank cap.

15 Open side panel (15) Without CODE 494 (USA version)  
16 Expose fuel filler door emergency release (16) Without CODE 494 (USA version)
IMPORTANT To do so, unclip retaining clip (17).
 
17 Disconnect electrical connection (18) Without CODE 494 (USA version)  
18 Remove charger feed socket (12) IMPORTANT To do so, pry off using SPECIAL TOOL assembly wedge.
IMPORTANT Remove old seal (19) residue completely.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Install new seal (19).

19.1 Remove charger feed socket (12) with charging cable (8) through tank filler recess With CODE 494 (USA version)  
19.2 Remove charger feed socket (12) with charging cable (8) Without CODE 494 (USA version)  
20 Install in the reverse order    
21 Perform protective earth conductor and insulation resistance test The vehicle must be de-energized.
