Remove/Install Clock Spring Contact - Ar46.10-D-0200H

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by performing testing or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units. Store airbag units with deployment side facing up; do not expose to temperatures greater than 100 °C. When working on these units, disconnect the power supply. AS91.00-Z-0001-01A

1 Remove steering wheel   AR46.10-D-0100E 
2 Secure clock spring contact (2) against twisting with adhesive strip or if present with securing clamp (3) IMPORTANT The steering wheel must be in the straight-ahead position. Insert the securing clamp (3) into the opening provided for this (arrow).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT When installing a new clock spring contact (2), the center position is already locked by means of a securing clamp (3).
 
3 Remove bolts (1)    
4 Remove clock spring contact (2) IMPORTANT Do not twist clock spring contact (2). The electrical connector on clock spring contact (2) is disconnected automatically when pulling off.

Set the clock spring contact to center position

5 Install in the reverse order
