		The operation described in the following is on one side of the vehicle but has to be carried out on both sides of the vehicle.
		The basic/filler materials from the paint partners approved in the warranty systems should be used. The processing guidelines and product notes should be complied with corresponding to the manufacturer's specification. 1	Unclip paneling on A-pillars (1)	Ensure that door rubber seals are seated correctly.
2.1	Remove sun visors (2)	Except with code (FF5) Stowage box/tray above windshield
2.2	Remove sun visors (2) with stowage boxes/trays (3)	With code (FF5) Stowage box/tray above windshield
3	Remove windshield		AR67.10-D-1000H
4	Cover all detachable parts remaining in vehicle
5	Mask off adjacent surface to joint (area A) using fabric tape (double tape application).	To avoid paint damage.
6	Remove sealing seam (area A) from joint between A-pillar paneling (6) and front side roof paneling (7).
		Round wire brush drill
7	Remove any corrosion in the joint (area A).	Round wire brush drill
8	Clean the joint
9	Inject Korantin into the joint gaps (arrows)	To do so fill syringe with Korantin inject in each case approx. 3 ml of Korantin into the joint gap. Insert needles as far as possible into the joint gaps and inject the Korantin under pressure. Remove needles slowly. Remove excessive Korantin using a rag. Korantin does not dry or harden (It retains its oily consistency). A drip off time of roughly 30 minutes should be observed first before continuing.

12	Seal joint gap (area A) using sealant	Only seal gap between the two plates to ensure that no more Korantin can escape.

13	Clean repair areas
14	Paint repair area adjacent surfaces	The painter is to be notified about any processing with Korantin in order to ensure that he/she can adjust to the changed paintwork preparation. Use only paints approved by Daimler AG. Refer to: http://portal.aftersales.i.daimler.com

15	Mask off joint (area A) using masking tape
16	Cover joint (area A) with a new sealing seam and model at the same time	Smoothen out sealing seam in area of windshield contact surface (area B).

17	Paint over sealing seam	Only when customer agrees because when the sealing seam is over-coated it may crack again later on. If possible leave the sealing seam black.
18	Apply additional cavity preservation	Perform cavity preservation on openings (8, 9) behind the sun visor and on the A-pillar.
