| 1 | Loosen crank window (2) from power window, completely push upward and secure against falling down with suitable adhesive tape (3) | MODEL 156, 176 | AR72.12-P-1910NKA |

| 2 | Disconnect battery ground line | AR54.10-P-0003NKB | |
| 3 | Remove outside door handle | ||
| 4 | Take off gaskets (4) | ||
| 5 | Loosen bolts (5), push bearing bracket (6) toward front and unhook | ||
| 6 | Disconnect left rear door electrical connector (X35/3) and right rear door electrical connector (X35/4 and lay door wiring harness (7) toward inside into rear door (8) | ||
| 7 | Unclip grommet (9) and pull door wiring harness (7) out of rear door (8) | ||
| 8 | Remove bolts (10) | *BA72.12-P-1005-01H | |
| 9 | Remove bolt (12.1) | MODEL 242, 246 | |
| 10 | Drill out rivet head from rivet (12.2) | MODEL 156, 176 | |

| 15 | Press out any pieces of rivets remaining in the inner door panel | When pressing out upper rivet residues, observe crank window (2). Contact between knock-out tool and crank window (2) can lead to destruction of the crank window (2). |

| 16 | Completely remove rivet residues and drilling chips from rear door (8) | Completely remove rivet residues with wet/dry vacuum cleaner. Remaining rivet residues cause corrosion damage on rear door (8). |
