	Measuring, adjusting
1	Drive the vehicle onto the measuring station and secure using the parking brake	The measuring system must be approved by Mercedes-Benz.
2	Move selector lever to position "P"
3	Open driver door window	Preparations for checking steering lock.
4	Select comfortable chassis and suspension setup using the corresponding button	Vehicles with code (489) AIRmatic (air suspension with continuous adjustment damping)
5	Raise the vehicle level and lower it again using the corresponding button	Vehicles with code (489) AIRmatic (air suspension with continuous adjustment damping)
6	Switch off ignition
7	Carry out conditions and tests for chassis alignment		AR40.20-P-0260SX
8	Unlock turnplates and sliding platforms	Rock vehicle to settle suspension at front and rear, to place the vehicle in a ready-to-drive condition.
9	Check vehicle level at front and rear axle using electronic inclinometer and adjust if necessary	Depending on the measurement result the vehicle level must be adjusted at the front and rear axle.	AR40.20-P-0301GQ
10	Using the adapter, install the brake pedal retaining tool between the pedal and the driver seat	Cover up the brake pedal and the front seat. Otherwise the brake pedal or the front seat may be damaged. The vehicle must not be loaded again.

11	Attach Mercedes-Benz quick-clamping devices		AR40.20-P-0230SX
12	Fit on measuring heads	For attaching the measuring heads, see corresponding manufacturer's operating instructions.
13	Perform initial measurement	For carrying out the initial measurement, see corresponding dimensional check system operating instructions.
14	Adjust camber at rear axle	According to results of initial measurement.	AR40.20-P-0262GQ
15	Adjust rear-axle toe	According to results of initial measurement.	AR40.20-P-0261GQ
16	Adjust camber and caster at the front axle	According to results of initial measurement.	AR40.20-P-0263GQ
17	Adjust front axle toe	According to results of initial measurement.	AR40.20-P-0264CW
18	Check toe-out angle	According to results of initial measurement.	AR40.20-P-0325CW
19	Perform final measurement	If the vehicle-specified values are not achieved, the operation steps 14 to 19 must be repeated.
20	Detach measuring heads
21	Detach Mercedes-Benz quick-clamping devices		AR40.20-P-0230SX
