	Remove
1	Move back driver seat and front passenger seat
2	Disconnect battery ground line
			AR54.10-P-0003NKB
3	Remove left and right inner door sills
			AR68.30-P-4100NKB
4	Detach door seals from entrance area at left and right
5	Remove left and right door sill moldings	The door sills are no longer required.
5	Remove left and right door sill moldings	Mounting wedge	Fig 2
6	Unscrew nut from cover of lower steering shaft in driver footwell and remove cover
7	Remove side paneling of instrument panel at left
8	Release vehicle interior fuse box on passenger side
			AR54.15-P-1311NKB
		Do not disconnect electrical leads.
9	Remove instrument cluster
			AR54.30-P-6015NKB
	Install
10	Retrofit illuminated door sill molding wiring harness		AZ82.20-P-0001-04NKB
		Right footwell A-pillar ground point	*BA00.19-P-1020-01B
		Wiring harness repair kit, basic	Fig 4
		New passenger car wiring harness repair kit	Fig 3
11	Install left front illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) and right front illuminated door sill molding (E17/48)		AZ82.20-P-0001-01NKB
12	Retrofit illuminated door sill molding control unit		AZ82.20-P-0001-05NKB
12	Retrofit illuminated door sill molding control unit	Self-adhesive Velcro fastener	*BR00.45-Z-1084-02A
13	Install remaining parts
	Update Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc)
14	Attach a note "Illuminated door sill moldings retrofitted as per AZ82.20-P-0001NKB " under field organization texts for DG 68 and DG 82
	Check
15	Perform function check on left front illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) and right front illuminated door sill molding (E17/48)	The left front illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) is switched on by opening the front left door and the right front illuminated door sill molding (E17/48) is switched on by opening the front right door. The left front illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) or right front illuminated door sill molding (E17/48) switches off automatically approx. 5 min after opening the respective door.
