| 1 | Open engine hood (1) and raise to vertical position | ||
| 2 | Remove cover (2) and lay down into engine compartment with water hose connected. | Model 205 |

| 3 | Remove water hose on left spray nozzle and unhook from left bracket | Model 253 | |
| 4 | Unscrew two of three nuts (3) from left and right hinge (4) | ||
| 5 | Lift retainers (5) with suitable screwdriver and unclip left and right gas-filled strut (6) from mounts | Otherwise the tension of the retainer (2) can be lost. |

| 6 | Unscrew nuts (3) on left and right hinge (4) and remove engine hood (1) | ||
| 7 | Install in the reverse order | ||
