Install new radial sealing ring at drive pinion gear (with differential installed) - AR35.31-P-0530LW

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove exhaust system from rear flange connection onwards Model 205 with engine 177 AR49.10-P-4952MNA
Model 205 with engine 274, 276 AR49.10-P-4952LW
Model 205 with engine 651 AR49.10-P-7100LWB
2 Detach drive shaft (7) from joint flange (41) on rear axle differential (50)   AR41.10-P-0050LW
SPECIAL TOOL Counterholder Fig 3
3 Unscrew hexagon collar nut (40) IMPORTANT To do so, screw 2 bolts into joint flange (41) and counterhold joint flange (41) using SPECIAL TOOL counterholder.  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 205
Rear axle differential Ø183 Collar nut, joint flange to drive pinion		 *BA35.31-P-1001-01E

4 Detach joint flange (41).    
5 Pry radial shaft sealing ring (42) using suitable tool out of rear axle differential (50)    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Universal hypoid gear oils (specification 235.7)  

Universal hypoid gear oils (specification 235.7). MB 235.7/235.74 FE hypoid gear oil A 001 989 33 03/Mobilube FE/FE Plus 75W-85
NOTES
Do not damage seat of radial shaft sealing ring (42) in rear axle differential (50).
Otherwise leaks may occur.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace radial shaft sealing ring (42), coat sealing lip with universal hypoid gear oil and use SPECIAL TOOL drift to press into rear axle differential (50).

6 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Check     
7 Check oil level in rear axle differential (50) and correct, if necessary   AR35.31-P-0520-03LW
FLUID SPECIFICATION Model 205.086/087 Filling capacity for rear axle differential with differential lock *BF35.31-P-1003-01U 
FLUID SPECIFICATION Model 205.0 (except 205.086/087), 205.1, 205.2 (except 205.286/287) ALU rear axle differential filling capacity *BF35.31-P-1002-01U 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Oil filler screw of rear axle differential *BA35.31-P-1002-02H 
Loctite 7063 cleaning spray (150 ml) *BR00.45-Z-1046-04A 
Sealant, Omni fit 100H (50 g) *BR00.45-Z-1061-01A 
8 Check rear axle differential (50) for leak tightness
