Remove/install panoramic roof frame - AR77.21-P-0800CW

1 Prepare adhesive cartridge   AR67.10-P-1000-07CW

INSTALLING Remove     
2.1 Unclip left and right water deflector (2) from roof paneling and remove MODEL 242, 246

2.2 Remove front water deflector, center water deflector and rear water deflector on left and right side of vehicle MODEL 204.2/9

3 Insert suitable plastic strip (7) between rear glass cover (8) and rear roof paneling (9) MODEL 204.2/9

4 Mask left and right side roof paneling (6) with suitable adhesive tape    
5 Remove front sealing strip (3) MODEL 204.0/2/9

6 Determine gap dimension (A) between front glass cover (4) and windshield (5) and note SPECIAL TOOL Feeler gauge Figure
7 Remove headliner MODEL 204.0/2/9

8 Remove multifunction antenna or multifunction antenna mockup MODEL 204.0

DANGER Risk of injury  from cutting wire tearing or becoming hot and from splinters of glass when cutting out bonded windows Wear protective gloves and safety glasses. AS67.00-Z-0004-01A
9 Punch puller (10) through at front right corner of panoramic roof (1) as shown, cut out panoramic roof (1) with cutting wire and remove from body IMPORTANT Helper required.
When cutting out, ensure that the cutting wire is guided over the consoles (11). Otherwise the cutting wire can tear off.
Cup suction tool/suspension equipment (for window removal/installation)
Glass removal		  
INSTALLING Install     
10 Open driver-side window IMPORTANT To prevent panoramic roof frame (1) just bonded in, from being pressed out toward outside by air when closing the doors.  
11 Prepare panoramic roof frame (1) for installation MODEL 204.0

NOTES Do not touch bonding surfaces with bare fingers. The bonding surfaces should be free of dust, oil, grease, wax and other adhesive components or dirt residues.
Otherwise the strength of the glued connections is impaired.		 AR77.21-P-0800-02CX

12 Prepare body flange for installing panoramic roof frame (1) MODEL 204.0
with CODE 413 (Automatic panoramic sliding sunroof)		 AR77.21-P-0800-05CW

NOTES Do not touch present adhesive beads and bonding surfaces with bare fingers. The bonding surfaces on the body flange should be free of dust, oil, grease, wax and other adhesive components or dirt residues. Otherwise the strength of the glued connections is impaired.		 AR77.21-P-0800-05CX

13 Apply glue to body flange MODEL 204.0

NOTES The bonding surfaces on the body flange should be free of dust, oil, grease, wax and other adhesive components or dirt residues. Otherwise the strength of the glued connections is impaired.		 AR77.21-P-0800-03CX

14 Install panoramic roof frame (1)   AR77.21-P-0800-04CW
NOTES Use weights with large surfaces such as sandbags to put load on panoramic roof frame (1).
Otherwise the panoramic roof frame (1) can be damaged.
IMPORTANT Observe gap dimensions (A). Center panoramic roof frame (1) between side roof paneling (6).

16 Remove adhesive tape from left and right side roof paneling (6)
