	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.	Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.	AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
	Risk of injury from grazing or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts	Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts. Deburr repair panels.	AS00.00-Z-0017-01A

1	Remove engine compartment paneling	If necessary Only install engine compartment paneling after engine test run and leak test.	AR61.20-P-1105W
2	Disconnect electrical connection(s) for oxygen sensor(s) (G3/3, G3/4, G3/5, G3/6) and expose feed lines	If necessary	AR07.52-P-5303W
3	Disconnect electrical connection(s) for NOx sensor(s) (N37/1b1, N37/2b1) and expose feed lines	If necessary	AR07.70-P-0001W
4	Disconnect electrical connection(s) for temperature sensor(s) (B16, B16/1) for NOx storage catalytic converter(s) and expose feed lines	If necessary	AR07.70-P-0002W
5	Remove exhaust manifold with catalytic converter (1)	If necessary	AR14.10-P-4095W
6	Remove exhaust gas recirculation lines	If necessary
		Clamp on EGR line and exhaust gas recirculation valve	*BA14.20-P-1002-01M
		Bolt, exhaust gas recirculation line to exhaust system	*BA14.20-P-1003-01M
		Bolt, EGR line to exhaust gas recirculation valve	*BA14.20-P-1004-01M
		Bolt, EGR line to bracket	*BA14.20-P-1005-01M
7	Remove front diagonal struts from frame floor assembly	If necessary

8	Remove rear diagonal struts from frame floor assembly	If necessary

9	Loosen corresponding components of exhaust system at connecting points and remove	Align components for exhaust system tension-free before tightening the bolted connections. Apply lubricating paste to exhaust rubber bearings (5).

		Bolt, NOx storage catalytic converter flange to CAT	*BA49.10-P-1003-01AI
		Nut, strut to NOx storage catalytic converter	*BA49.10-P-1004-01AI
		Bolt, clamp to center muffler/NOx storage catalytic converter	*BA49.10-P-1005-01AI
		Bolt, exhaust rubber mount holder to vehicle underbody/rear axle carrier	*BA49.10-P-1012-01AI
		Bolt, exhaust tip clamp to muffler	*BA49.10-P-1013-01AI
	Clean
10	Remove combustion and corrosion residue at separation points
11	Check exhaust rubber mount (5) for damage and wear
12	Install in the reverse order
	Checking
13	Inspect installation position and unobstructed movement of all components of the exhaust system
	Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
14	Test run engine and check exhaust system for leaks
