	Remove/install
1	Open engine hood and raise to vertical position		AR88.40-P-1000GQ
2	Raise vehicle using vehicle lift until the wheels are clear of the ground		AR00.60-P-1000GZ
3	Empty AIRmatic using diagnostic system
		MODEL 166 with CODE 489 (AIRMATIC) Empty and fill the AIRmatic as per the specifications; the complete wheels must not be touching the ground. The air springs can otherwise be damaged and fail later.	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
4	Switch off ignition
5	Remove cover over corresponding suspension strut tower
6	Remove air duct segment (1)	When removing right suspension strut (2).
7	Detach pressure line (3) and seal off connections with blind plugs	MODEL 166 with CODE 489 (AIRMATIC)

12	Detach front wheel and tire assembly

13	Remove front section of fender liner in front fender	MODEL 166 with CODE 489 (AIRMATIC)	AR88.10-P-1310GQ
14	Detach subharness (4a) from all holders on longitudinal member, suspension strut (2) and steering knuckle (5)	MODEL 166 with CODE 489 (AIRMATIC) Check routing is correct, free of tension and chafing. Otherwise damage can occur.
15	Release and disconnect electrical connector of subharness (4a) from bracket	MODEL 166 with CODE 489 (AIRMATIC)
16	Detach subharnesses (4b, 4c) from all holders on longitudinal member, suspension strut (2) and steering knuckle (5)	Check routing is correct, free of tension and chafing. Otherwise damage can occur. The subharness (4b) is only present on the right side of the vehicle.
17	Remove bracket (6)
18	Remove brake hose (7) from bracket (7h)

19	Detach torsion bar linkage (8) from stabilizer bar (9)	Carefully detach torsion bar linkage (8), stabilizer bar (9) is under tension!

23	Detach suspension strut (2) from lower control arm (11)	Self-locking nut, shock absorber to wishbone	*BA32.25-P-1002-01O
24	Lever front axle shaft out of front axle transmission and remove	Do not damage the boots and protective ring of the front axle shaft or the radial shaft sealing ring in the front axle transmission. The damaged component must be replaced otherwise. Retaining ring must be replaced.
25	Push lower control arm (11) down and remove suspension strut (2)	Do not damage subharnesses (4a, 4b, 4c) or boots for front axle shaft or suspension strut (2). Otherwise, the function is not assured. Helper required.
26	Install in the reverse order
