	Remove/install
	Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes	Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.	AS42.50-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of accident when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work	Before starting engine, actuate brake pedal several times until the pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system.	AS42.50-Z-0002-01A

1	Turn key in ignition lock to position "0"
2	Open engine hood		AR88.40-P-1000GG
3	Release and disconnect electrical connection (2) on brake fluid reservoir (5)
	Clean
4	Clean area surrounding brake line connections on the master brake cylinder (7)	Before opening the brake system the area around the separation point should be cleaned thoroughly. Even the smallest particles of dirt, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the brake system. Only use clean, lint free rags and cleaner free of mineral oil. Do not use any compressed-air for cleaning when the brake system is open.

5	Suction off brake fluid from the brake fluid reservoir (5)
6	Detach brake lines (6) on master brake cylinder (7)	Immediately seal connections using stop plugs to prevent larger quantities of brake fluid from escaping. Collect escaping brake fluid using a suitable container.

7	Pull vacuum line (9) out of BAS brake booster (A7/7)	Reduce vacuum in the BAS brake booster (A7/7) by operating the service brake several times. Check rubber seal of vacuum line (9) for damage, replace if necessary.
8	Detach electrical connections from brake vacuum sensor
9	Remove left cover below instrument panel		AR68.10-P-1500GW
10	Remove brake lights switch		AR42.10-P-0040GW
11	Pull out cotter pin (4) and mounting bolt (3)	Check mounting bolt (3) for damage and wear, replace if necessary. Install new split pin (4).
12	Unscrew nuts (13)		*BA43.10-P-1004-01B
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
13	Remove BAS brake booster (A7/7) with master brake cylinder (7)	Replace seal on bulkhead.
14	Install in the reverse order

17	Carry out brake test on the test stand
18	Check function of brake lights switch
