	Remove/install
	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1	Loosen center console (1) and position rearwards	Do not remove rear cover and housing.	AR68.20-P-2000SXH
2	Remove armrest lid (8)	Only on vehicles without code (582) Air conditioning system in rear
3	Disconnect connector for central front operating unit on bracket	Only on vehicles with code (582) Air conditioning in rear.
4	Unclip cover (9)
5	Remove bolts (4)
6	Remove cover plugs (12) and remove bolts (13)
7	Remove front stowage compartment (3) and disconnect electrical connector
8	Unlock left and right center console trim strip at catch hook in direction of arrow and remove forwards (arrows)	Observe routing of wiring harness for central front operating unit (A40/9).
9	Remove central front operating unit (A40/9)	Only when replacing the center console trim strip.	AR54.21-P-0500SXH
10	Install in the reverse order
