| 2 | Remove rear paneling from center console | AR68.20-P-5169SX | |
| 3 | Remove housing (3) for 12 V socket or rear ashtray | AR68.20-P-2420SX | |
| 4 | Unclip cap (2) on both sides and unscrew bolts below | ||
| 5 | Adjust front seats toward rear to end position | ||
| 6 | Switch off ignition and withdraw transmitter key or Keyless Go start/stop button from the EIS [EZS] control unit | ||
| 7 | Open front stowage compartment lid (12) | ||
| 8 | Remove cupholder | On vehicles with code (310) Double front cup holder. | |
| 9 | Remove inserting device | ||
| 10 | Remove bolts (6) | ||
| 11.1 | Open armrest lid (8) and unclip maintenance flap (14) | For vehicles without code (582) AC in rear. | |
| 11.2 | Open armrest cover (8) and remove cover plug (7) in stowage compartment and remove bolts (9) | For vehicles with code (582) Rear air conditioner. | |
| 12 | Lift up armrest lid (8) and disconnect electrical connector (4) | On vehicles with code (582) Air conditioning system in rear and code (386) Preinstallation for telephone "Cell phone" UHI system or code (388) Telephone "Cell phone" UHI [Universal Portable Cell Phone Interface system]. | |
| 13 | Remove armrest lid (8) | For vehicles with code (582) Rear air conditioner. | |
| 14 | Unlock bracket (15) of electrical wiring harness and pull out upwards | For vehicles with code (582) Rear air conditioner. | |
| 15 | Expose electric wiring harness in center console (1) and disconnect electrical connectors (11) | ||
| 16 | Lift up rear center console (1) and remove from vehicle | ||
| 17 | Install in the reverse order |
