Remove/install condenser - AR83.30-P-6540SX

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Discharge air conditioning system INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Evacuate, refill and check air conditioner for leaks and proper operation. AR83.30-P-1760SX 
2 Disconnect air conditioning service station    
3 Remove radiator for low-temperature circuit Engine 272.974, 275  
Engine 272.974 AR09.41-P-6935SXH
Engine 275.953 AR09.41-P-6935SZ
Engine 275.982 AR09.41-P-6935SXM
4 Remove front section of lower engine compartment paneling Vehicles without top protection AR61.20-P-1105SX
Vehicles with code (Z07) Top protection AR61.20-P-1105SXS
5 Unhook left and right air ducting (2) from bracket (3)    
6 Lower vehicle    
7 Detach engine hood sealing frame (5) in area of bracket (6) from radiator crossmember (7)    
8 Remove bracket (6) and move radiator (8) together with condenser (1) to rear    
9 Remove both expansion clips (4) and remove left and right air ducting (2)    
10 Fasten radiator (8) using cable ties at left and right to radiator crossmember (7)    
11 Unclip power steering oil cooler (9) with oil lines from supports on condenser (1) and fix in place at a suitable position using a cable tie On model 221 with code (487) Active Body Control (ABC) and on model 216 except 4MATIC
IMPORTANT Place clean rag under front bumper to protect paintwork.
 
12 Unclip suspension oil cooler (10) from mountings on condenser (1) and attach to a suitable position using a cable tie On model 221 with code (487) Active Body Control (ABC) and on model 216 except 4MATIC  
13 Unclip condenser (1) at side of radiator (8)    
14 Lift vehicle on lifting platform.   AR00.60-P-1000SX
15 Detach bracket for left fanfare horn (H2) and allow left fanfare horn (H2) to hang down with electrical lines connected On model 221 with code (487) Active Body Control (ABC) and on model 216 except 4MATIC  
16 Remove radiator support (12) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA62.30-P-1001-04B 
17 Release lower air ducting (17) at left and right on radiator (8) and remove downwards    
18 Remove refrigerant lines (18) from condenser (1), seal openings of refrigerant lines (18) and condenser (1) with suitable stop plugs TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA83.30-P-1009-01K 
19 Remove bolt (21) and remove connection of refrigerant lines (18) from condenser (1)    
20 Route condenser (1) upwards and out of side mountings on radiator (8) and then remove downwards    
21 Install in the reverse order
