	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

	Remove/install
1	Detach battery ground line		AR54.10-P-0003SX
	Notes on battery		AH54.10-P-0001-01A
2	Remove center section of the lower engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105SX
3	Unclip coolant line (7) on lower coolant line bracket (7a) for alternator (G2)
4	Unlock and disconnect circuit 61 electrical connection (D+) (4) at alternator (G2)
5	Detach cap (1), unscrew nut (2) and remove electrical line for terminal 30 (B+) (3) from alternator (G2)	Nut, circuit B+ to alternator	*BA15.40-P-1002-01F
6	Remove lower screw/bolts (6) for alternator (G2)	Bolt, alternator to bracket	*BA15.40-P-1011-01F
7	Remove air filter housing with connecting line to air pump		AR09.10-P-1150SX
8	Remove poly-V belt	Vehicles a twin-belt pulley	AR13.22-P-1202SXH
		Vehicles with a single-belt pulley	AR13.20-P-0001SX
	Poly-V belt version changed		BT13.20-P-1000-01SXH
9	Unclip air pump switchover valve (Y32) and lay with attached lines to one side
10	Unfasten heat shield on bracket for alternator (G2) and on bracket for engine support	See: Remove/install power electronics with power distributor.	AR08.10-P-0011SXH
11	Loosen heat shield holder on engine support
12	Remove spacer (9).	Unclip spacer (9) from coolant line (7) for power electronics and feed line from expansion reservoir and remove spacer (9)
13	Remove upper screw/bolts (5), turn alternator (G2) and remove coolant line bracket (7a) for lower coolant line (7)	Attach coolant line bracket (7a) for lower coolant line (7) together with alternator (G2).
		Bolt, alternator to bracket	*BA15.40-P-1011-01F
14	Take alternator (G2) down and out	To do this place bracket for heat shield to one side
15	Install in the reverse order
