Replace front crankshaft radial sealing ring - AR03.20-P-3000MLJ

ENGINES 157, 278 in MODEL 166

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove belt pulley/vibration damper (8)   AR03.30-P-1600GQ 
2 Press out crankshaft radial sealing ring (5) from the mounting bore using a screwdriver IMPORTANT Do not damage crankshaft (1a) and mounting hole.
NOTES Use a clean rag as a base when pushing out. Leakage can occur otherwise.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Install front crankshaft radial sealing ring (5).

INSPECT Checking     
3 Check contact surface of crankshaft radial sealing ring (5) at hub of belt pulley/vibration damper (8) IMPORTANT Replace belt pulley/vibration damper (8) if there are score marks and galling.  
4 Install in the reverse order    
5 Check engine oil level; correct if necessary   AP18.00-P-0101GQ
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

6 Carry out an engine test run and check engine for leaks
