	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant.	Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.	AS20.00-Z-0001-01A
	Remove/install
1	Open engine hood		AR88.40-P-1000GG
2	Unscrew cap on coolant expansion reservoir	Turn cap slowly and relieve overpressure; then unscrew cap.
3	Remove fan unit	Model 463 with engine 279	AR20.40-P-5050MUD
		Model 463 with engine 157	AR20.40-P-5050GW
4	Discharge air conditioning system and evacuate	Model 463 with engine 157, 279 as of model year 2013	AR83.30-P-1760GW
5	Drain off coolant	Engine 279 in model 463	AR20.00-P-1142RKC

6	Detach coolant hose between radiator (1) and coolant expansion reservoir on radiator (1)
7	Detach coolant hose between coolant pump and radiator (1) on radiator (1) and set aside
8	Detach coolant hose between coolant pump and radiator (1) on radiator (1) and set aside
9	Detach refrigerant line (3) at connecting point to condenser (2)	Replace sealing ring. Seal openings using stop plugs.

10	Detach retaining clips (4) with shims
11	Detach refrigerant line (5) at fluid reservoir (6)		AR83.30-P-6520GW
		Line on receiver/drier If the refrigerant circuit is opened. ↓ Replace fluid reservoir (6).	*BA83.30-P-1002-01C
12	Remove radiator (1) with condenser (2) upwards	Check elastomer bearing of radiator package for damage and replace if necessary. Check radiator package for correct seating in elastomer bearing and in lower radiator holder.
13	Install in the reverse order
14	Pour in coolant	Engine 279 in model 463	AR20.00-P-1142RKC
		Engine 157 in model 463	AR20.00-P-1142GW
15	Check engine cooling system for leaktightness	Engine 279 in model 463	AR20.00-P-1010MNF
		Engine 157 in model 463	AR20.00-P-1010GW
16	Drain, evacuate and recharge air conditioning, check for proper operation and check for leaktightness	Model 463 with engine 157, 279 as of model year 2013	AR83.30-P-1760GW
17	Check air conditioning for proper operation
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
18	Carry out engine test run and check the engine cooling system for proper function and leaktightness	Visual inspection
