	Removing
		Absolute cleanliness is essential when working on the front axle transmission (1). Even minute dirt particles can prevent the front axle transmission (1) from functioning correctly
1	Remove front axle transmission (1)	Model 216, 221	AR33.30-P-0525SYZ
		Model 204, 212, 218	AR33.30-P-0525CWX
	Disassemble/assemble
	Seal input shaft (5) (steps 2 to 6)
2	Detach collar nut (4m) from drive flange (4) using retainer wrench and remove adjusting disk (4a) from drive flange (4)	The retainer wrench is secured to the drive flange with just one bolt. Replace the collar nut. The adjusting disk determines the bearing preload of the front axle transmission (1) and should therefore never be replaced. If the adjusting disk is lost, the front axle transmission (1) must be replaced.

3	Mark position of drive flange (4) relative to input shaft (5)
4	Pull off drive flange (4)		*203589023300
5	Pry radial sealing ring (2r) out of front axle transmission (1) using a suitable tool	Install new radial sealing ring. Smear the sealing lip of the radial sealing ring with universal hypoid gear oil. Drive the radial sealing ring into the front axle transmission using a drift.	*221589041500

6	Assemble in the reverse order
	Seal pinion housing (2) (steps 7 to 10)
7	Remove bolts (2S)		*BA33.30-P-1004-03G
8	Pull pinion housing (2) with retaining ring (2f) out of front axle transmission (1)	The milled area (f) must face upward to ensure oil flow in the pinion housing.	AR33.30-P-0469-01SYZ

9	Remove spacer washer (2a) and sealing ring (2d)	Replace sealing ring.
10	Assemble in the reverse order
	Seal cover (3) and replace radial sealing rings (1r, 3r) (steps 11 to 14)
11	Remove radial sealing rings (1r, 3r)	Install new radial sealing rings.

12	Remove bolts (3s) and remove cover (3)		*BA33.30-P-1001-03G
13	Remove sealing ring (3d)	Replace sealing ring.
14	Assemble in the reverse order
	Install
