Partially Remove And Install Outer Corner Pillar Paneling Upper Section - Ar64.30-D-5733H

REMOVING Removing    
  Risk of death  caused by high voltage used for electric welding. Risk of explosion  caused by welding in the area of highly inflammable materials. Risk of injury  caused by welding splatter and UV light while welding. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling welding fumes. Use insulating mats. Wear protective clothing, safety glasses and protective mask. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Use air extractor system. AS00.00-Z-0007-01A
  Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

1 Remove taillamp    
2 Remove rear door   AR72.20-D-1901F
3 Remove detachable parts in area to be repaired    
4 Cover all detachable parts remaining in vehicle with fire-resistant welding protection blanket Welding protective blanket  
5 Cut off section of upper section of outer corner paneling (1)   AR64.30-D-5733-01H 
    SPECIAL TOOL Spot weld milling cutter
Spherical milling cutter
Round wire brush
Drill (pneumatic)
Angle grinder (pneumatic)
Body jig saw (pneumatic)
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner
 
6 Prepare section of upper section of outer corner paneling (1) Hole punching pliers (Ø 6 mm)
Round wire brush
Drill (pneumatic)
Angle grinder (pneumatic)
Body jig saw (pneumatic)
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner

INSTALLING Install     
7 Install and weld in section of upper section of outer corner paneling (1) Vice grip pliers (standard)
Round wire brush
MIG-MAG inert gas welder
Drill (pneumatic)
Angle grinder (pneumatic)
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner

8 Clean weld joints and sheet metal flanges with rotary wire brush Round wire brush
Drill (pneumatic)
 
9 Clean repair area Wet and dry vacuum cleaner  
  Risk of explosion  caused by paint vapors igniting. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling paint vapors. No smoking! No open fire! Use respiratory protection, protective clothing, gloves, safety glasses and skin cream. Ensure that the area is well ventilated. AS98.00-Z-0002-01A
10 Prime repair area using primer filler IMPORTANT Use only primer filler approved by Daimler AG.

11 Carry out seam sealing after repairs IMPORTANT Supplement standard seals with sealant. AR97.10-D-4000H
  Risk of explosion  caused by paint vapors igniting. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling paint vapors. No smoking! No open fire! Use respiratory protection, protective clothing, gloves, safety glasses and skin cream. Ensure that the area is well ventilated. AS98.00-Z-0002-01A
12 Paint repair areas and adjacent surfaces IMPORTANT Use only paints approved by Daimler AG.

13 Apply additional cavity preservation   AR97.20-D-1500H
14 Remove welding protection blankets    
15 Install rear door   AR72.20-D-1901F
16 Install taillamp    
17 Install all detachable body components in area to be repaired
