Remove/install battery - AR54.10-P-0005RA

MODEL 230 except CODE (P99) "AMG Black Series" special model 

on-board electrical system battery

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

IMPORTANT Notes on AGM battery   AH54.10-P-0002-01A
1 Disconnect ground line (1) from the on-board electrical system battery (G1)   AR54.10-P-0003R 
2 Remove bracket (4)    
3 Lift off cover (3) of positive terminal    
4 Slacken nut and disconnect positive lead (2) from on-board electrical system battery (G1). NOTESInstallation:  Ensure that the positive line (2) is seated firmly, otherwise the positive terminal may be damaged.  
5 Remove on-board electrical system battery (G1) IMPORTANT Use carrying strap.
If the on-board electrical system battery (G1) is replaced, the venting reservoir must be modified.
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Insert on-board electrical system battery (G1) and push against support (5).
 
6 Install in the reverse order
