	Remove/install
	Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

1	Remove engine trim panel	Ensure correct seating of the engine cover.	AR01.10-P-2405SXI
2	Remove impact plate	Engine 642.8 The impact plate is installed in front of the belt drive.
3	Remove/install electric fan	Engine 642.8	AR20.40-P-5000SXI
4	Remove engine air intake duct downstream of air filter	Engine 642.8	AR09.10-P-8130SXI
5	Remove engine charge air channel upstream of charge air cooler	Check sealing ring for damage in order to avoid leaks.	AR09.41-P-8623SXI
6	Remove engine charge air duct on turbocharger	Engine 642.8	AR09.41-P-8622SXI
7	Remove right engine intake air duct hose upstream of air filter
8	Remove noise damper downstream of charge air cooler	Check sealing ring for damage in order to avoid leaks.	AR09.40-P-6925SXI
9	Unplug charge air hose downstream of charge air cooler	Unplug the charge air hose at the engine intake air duct downstream of the charge air cooler. Check sealing rings for damage in order to avoid leaks.	AR09.41-P-8625SXI
10	Disconnect connector at throttle valve actuator (M16/6)
11	Disconnect connectors on glow time output stage (N14/3)
12	Detach connector on charge air temperature sensor (B17/8)
13	Disconnect connector at charge pressure sensor (B5/1)
14	Undo bolts at bracket of the throttle valve actuator (M16/6)		*BA09.41-P-1006-01J
15.1	Remove retaining clip on return hose	Engine 642.9 Check retaining clip for damage.
15.2	Disconnect electrical connector at EGR cooler bypass flap switchover valve (Y85)	Engine 642.8
16	Remove bolt for glow time output stage bracket (N14/3) on cylinder head		*BA00.10-P-1002-01A
17	Detach vacuum hose on EGR cooler bypass flap switchover valve (Y85)	Engine 642.8
18	Remove bolts on exhaust gas recirculation cooler pipe	Engine 642.8 Install new gasket
			*BA14.20-P-1003-01G
19	Remove screw/bolts (1, 2) for mixing chamber (3) at charge air manifold		*BA09.20-P-1001-01Q
20	Push the hose and tubing bracket at the flange of the mixing chamber (3) upwards
21	Lift mixing chamber (3) up and out	Replace sealing rings to avoid leaks and damage at the engine.
22	Remove screw/bolts for engine charge air duct downstream of charge air cooler	Engine 642.8

23	Pull engine charge air duct downstream of charge air cooler out of the mixing chamber (3)	Engine 642.8 Replace sealing rings to avoid leaks and damage at the engine.
24	Install in the reverse order
