	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1	Remove outer spare tire holder paneling	Only up to step 8	AR88.30-P-1007GZ
2	Disconnect electrical connector (1)
3	Separate cable tie (2)	Install a new cable tie (2).
4	Unhinge Bowden cable (3)
5	Unclip lines (4)
6	Remove screw (5)
7	Remove screw (6)
8	Remove spare tire holder arm (7)	With the aid of a helper.
9	Remove rear bumper	Only when completely removing spare tire holder.	AR88.20-P-2200GZ
10	Remove rear SAM control unit		AR54.21-P-1269GZ
11	Remove right-hand ventilation
12	Cut cable tie (8) for trailer hitch wiring harness (9)	Replace cable ties (8).
13	Place trailer hitch wiring harness (9) to one side
14	Remove bolts (10, 11)		*BA31.11-P-1002-01G
			*BA31.11-P-1004-01G
15	Unscrew nuts (13)	Remove cap (12) and unscrew nut (13) underneath Reattach the cap (12).
			*BA31.11-P-1002-01G
16	Remove trailer hitch (14) toward rear
17	Remove bolts (15) and remove stiffening arms (16) toward rear.		*BA31.11-P-1001-01G
18	Install in the reverse order
