Select telephone antenna, function - GF82.95-P-3001GZU
MODEL 164 with CODE (359) TELE AID emergency call system with CODE (494) USA version up to Model Year 2008
Normally, the emergency call connections are handled by the TELE AID antenna (A2/93a4) in the roof antenna module (A2/93). In the event a defect is present in the roof antenna module and, therefore, the TELE AID antenna is damaged, e.g. from rolling over, a TELE AID back antenna (A2/50) is installed in the trunk at the left rear, below the window.
It is connected to the emergency call system control unit (N123/4) by an RF line. The emergency call system control unit recognizes failure of the TELE AID antenna and then automatically activates the TELE AID backup antenna.
