Headlamp range control is installed as passive safety equipment to prevent halogen headlamps dazzling oncoming traffic.
The headlamp range adjustment keeps the incline angle of the driving lights within the legally prescribed limits by adjusting it to suit the load and position of the HRA [LWR] selector wheel.

Function
The HRA [LWR] selector wheel has positions 0, 1, 2 and 3.
The individual selector wheel positions are to be matched to the vehicle loads and they are available in the operator's manual.
Actuation is via the HRA [LWR] selector wheel straight to the left headlamp range adjustment motor in the left front lamp unit and right headlamp range adjustment motor in the right front lamp unit.
