	Removing
1	Remove brake disc	Model 463.270/271	AR42.10-P-0220GX
		Model 461.331	AR42.10-P-0220GG
2	Unscrew castle nut from tie rod
3	Pry off tie rod end (1)	Puller	Figure
4	Detach drag link from track lever and pitman arm (2).	Only if right joint housing (9) is removed.
5	Detach seal retainer (3)	Before removal, measure how far the stop screw for the wheel angle is screwed in and screw in this stop screw to the corresponding value when installing again.
6	Detach top kingbolt (4)	Fasten shims (5) to kingbolt (4) and do not mix them up, as otherwise the pretension for the steering knuckle bearing will have to be reset.
7	Detach track lever and pitman arm (2) at bottom.	Fasten shims (6) to track lever and pitman arm (2) and do not mix them up, as otherwise the pretension for the steering knuckle bearing will have to be reset.
8	Remove joint housing (9) with drive shaft	Fasten kingpin bearing to relevant kingpin (4) and track lever and pitman arm (2).
9	Remove plastic sealing (11)
10	Remove shaft seal (7)	Internal extractor	Fig 3

12	Install bearing bushing (8)
13	Smear new shaft seal (7) with multipurpose grease and drive in flush	Drift	Fig 5

14	Install new plastic seal (11).
15	Install joint housing (9) with drive shaft	Beforehand install respective tapered roller bearing and sealing rings for the kingpin (4) and track lever and pitman arm (2) in the axle tube.
		Lubricate tapered roller bearing with multipurpose grease.	*BR00.45-Z-1017-06A
16	Adjust steering knuckle bearing	The adjustment need only be carried out if either the axle housing, joint housing (9) or kingpin (4) have been replaced or the shims (5) or shims (6) have been mixed up or lost.	AR33.25-P-0401A
17	Install top kingbolt (4)	Use relevant shims (5).

18	Install track lever and pitman arm (2) at bottom.	Use relevant shims (6).

19	Attach drag link at track lever and pitman arm (2).	Only if right joint housing (9) is installed.

21	Attach seal retainer (3) to joint housing (9)	Renew paper sealing (10).

25	Attach tie rod end (1) and secure castle nut using cotter pin.	Check tie rod end (1) for rust attack by lifting the boot; check ball heads for play and replace if necessary. Before installing, grease stem of the ball stud and bore in the track lever and pitman arm (2).
