- C. 15R On
- Actuation of the ON/OFF button on the mobile phone
- Automatically by a wake-up pulse via the Media Oriented System Transport (MOST), which is triggered by the audio control unit
Function sequence of switching on the mobile phone
Before the mobile phone system can be started up, it must be logged into the respective telephone network. A SIM card is required for this.
After inserting and then activating the SIM card the user must enter the 4 to 8-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) when requested to do so.
This PIN serves to prevent any unauthorized use of the SIM card. The SIM card is locked after 3 incorrect entries. The Personal Unblocking Key (PUK), an 8-digit number code, can be used to deactivate the access block. This allows entry of a new PIN number. If the PUK is entered incorrectly 10 times in succession, the SIM card can no longer be used and a new SIM card must be applied for from the service provider.
Switching off a mobile phone
The mobile phone is switched off by one of the following actions:
- Actuation of the ON/OFF button on the mobile phone
- Actuation of the "TEL" button on the audio control unit
- After the transmitter key (A8/1) has been removed from the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73) and after the run-on time, which can be set individually on the mobile phone, has lapsed
Taking mobile phone out of operation
The mobile phone is taken out of operation by pressing the ON/OFF button on the mobile phone and subsequently removing the SIM card.
The SIM card may only be removed after the mobile phone has been deactivated in order to protect the SIM card from damage. When the mobile phone is switched on again, the PIN has to be reentered.
