Remove/install washer fluid reservoir of windshield washer system - AR82.35-P-6000SY

MODEL 216.3 (except 216.386) 

MODEL 221.0 /1 with CODE (487) Active Body Control (ABC)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove bolt (2) from upper section of washer fluid reservoir (1)    
2 Pull upper section of washer fluid reservoir (1) upwards and remove IMPORTANT Collect washer fluid which flows out.
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure that top part of washer fluid reservoir (1) is seated correctly in top bracket (3). Check seal (4), replace if necessary.
 
3 Remove front section of fender liner on left front fender    
4 Remove windshield washer fluid pump (M5/1) and place to one side with lines attached IMPORTANT Collect washer fluid which flows out.  
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Check gasket (13) and replace if necessary.

5 Disconnect electrical connector at the switch of the windshield washer system fluid level control (S42)    
6 Remove HCS [SRA] pump (M5/2) and place to one side with lines attached On model 221 with code (600) Headlamp cleaning system, model 216
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Check gasket (14) and replace if necessary.

7 Disconnect both coolant hoses of the washer fluid heater using clamping devices, detach hose clamps, and separate both coolant hoses In vehicles with code (875) heated windshield washer system  
SPECIAL TOOL *000589543700
8 Remove screws (6, 8)    
9 Remove lower section of washer fluid reservoir (5) with lower bracket (7)    
10 Detach windshield washer fluid level indicator switch (S42) When replacing lower section of washer fluid reservoir (5).  
11 Unclip lid for heat exchanger using mounting wedge on lower section of washer fluid reservoir (5) and remove heat exchanger from lower section of washer fluid reservoir (5) When replacing lower section of washer fluid reservoir (5) on vehicles with code (875) Heated windshield washer system.  
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure that heat exchanger is correctly seated in lower section of washer fluid reservoir (5).

12 Undo nut (11) and remove lower bracket (7) When replacing lower section of washer fluid reservoir (5).
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Check that pins on underside of lower section of washer fluid reservoir (5) are correctly seated in the rubber grommets (12) of the lower bracket (7).
 
13 Install in the reverse order    
14 Fill washer fluid reservoir    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Windshield washer system - inspect fluid level, adjust to correct level   AP82.35-P-8210SX
15 Inspecting cooling system for leaks In vehicles with code (875) heated windshield washer system
