The radio provides the user with a structured and uniform interface, which is displayed on the Audio/COMAND display.

The input factors are read in via the following connections:

With navigation activated with the "NAVI" button (with code (509) Navigation box), the interface is generated in the navigation module (A2/30), not in the radio. The function and menu guidance are provided by the manufacturer and are not specific for Mercedes-Benz.

Function
The button signals for the operating panels on the radio are read in and made available to the integrated central computer. Button actuation is processed further in the central computer. If the "ON" button on the radio is pressed, the radio switches on. The volume for the audio sources is regulated on the "ON" button by turning. Pressing the function keys in the left button panel enables the user to switch to the desired system components.
CD drive or CD changer with integrated CD drive
The integrated CD drive can be used to play audio CDs (including in MP3 format).
